All of High Lee Care Homes Carers are working towards or have achieved Level 2 in Health and Social Care, which is a statutory requirement. Other Care Staff have progressed to completing Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
All Mandatory training is completed each year, such as Food Hygiene, Moving & Handling, Protection of Vulnerable Adults and many other courses that contribute to the level of care that High Lee provides. We encourage all our staff to work as a team to promote a family atmosphere, ensuring that all staff take pride in their work.
Upon starting work at High Lee all new members of staff work closely alongside experienced care workers, before they are allowed to work on their own, all members undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Check, with and initial ISA (Independent Safeguarding Authority) Check to ensure their suitability for the home.
We aim to have 3 - 4 Carers on duty from 8am - 2pm. We always have three carers on duty from 2pm - 8pm. There are two waking night staff from 8pm - 8am, so, will be able to attend to your needs throughout the night.
The Manager and Supervisor are on duty 5 days a week, the manage is on call during the night for emergencies.
